Willie Anderson

He became one of the fans’ favourites during the most troubled period of the club’s history. Deputy to the famed George Best at Manchester United, he came to Villa to find first-team football but after his first season his term with Villa was spent in the lower divisions. A dangerous winger, he was a good supplier of chances for his fellow forwards and scored a fair sprinkling of goals for himself.
